Enhancing Collaborative Modeling

Provenance and version control are essential for successful collaborations in systems biology and systems medicine. Modellers not only need to understand each other, they also need to understand their files and, even more importantly, changes thereof. Partners of collaborative modelling activities need to know

  • who modified a model or parametrization,
  • what was the reason for a certain update,  and
  • what is the impact on the results/predictions.

Together with a large community we are working on tools and methods to improve the management of computational models. Our tools are designed in a modular fashion and, thus, can be used individually and allow for an easy integration into existing platforms.
